9-00 – Church procession to the lake. Great blessing of water near the icy cross on the lake of Krasavytsia near the source of the river Lybid.
From 9–00 till 10–00 – Water blessing near the Church.
Welcome to the Cossack Settlement “Mamayeva Sloboda” to evident Cossack Holiday of Epipany (Vodokhrescha). After the blessing of the priest of the Church of the Intersession of the Holy Virgin you will have the chance to dive into ice-hole of lake Krasavytsia that is situated near the historical source of the river Lybid.
From 10-00 – Folk celebrations near lake Krasavytsia and BATHING IN AN ICE-HOLE.
12–00 – The second part of folk celebrations. Burning of DIDUKH, custom of KOZA, songs and dances with folk group girls and boys.
Right next to the lake you may taste Cossack porridge KULISH prepared in the open fire in the cauldron, noble heady drink MUSULES and herbal tea. Besides, you will have the opportunity to try traditional liqueurs of Cossack times – cherry, plum, pear or honey wines.
